That's the solution most folks end up writing, and it takes advantage of a math operation you may never have heard of before. Or if you wanted to get clever you could store just the number of characters written so far and do a bit of math to figure out the current row and column. You could have an external EXA store the data and shout it to you over the M channel. There's a few different ways to tackle this problem. So the conundrum is how do we store the current row, and column at the same time? Since we know we'll need to check if the file is over every loop we know that any data stored there will be overwritten. This is because any data in register T is automatically overwritten with the results of any tests we run. You should have nearly everything you need to put together a solution at this point, except for one little catch.
